I like the superhero bullshit. Spider-man is an awesome hero but I have no interest in spending $12 or putting any effort to watch these rebooted movies. To me, Andrew Garfield is a dweeb or a fuck boy, not a hero. Saying Tobey Maguire is a way better Spider-man is not saying a whole lot. In those movies they fucked up bad on the third movie which led to fuck boy Garfield.
From seeing the commercials for the new movie it looks like they have hipster Spider-man fighting too many villains in one movie. I should probably see something before I say harsh words about it but its a dweeb movie.
While on the topic of rebooted superhero bullshit movies – The thought of Ben Argo playing Batman in the next Superman movie hurts deep. Give me Christian Bale or gtfo.
HuffPost – A British man who was scheduled to have a different procedure might not be able to have children after doctors operated on the “wrong site.”The Telegraph reports that the incident occurred at Royal Liverpool University Hospital, which is affiliated with the National Health Service, Britain’s public healthcare system. “We can confirm a patient who was scheduled to have a different minor urological procedure was wrongly given a vasectomy,” RLUH medical director Dr. Peter Williams said in a statement. “We have apologized unreservedly to the patient and we are offering him our full support. We greatly regret the distress this has caused him,” Williams said. The hospital is investigating the matter to determine exactly how the patient, who remains anonymous, ended up having the wrong procedure. Although vasectomies are considered a permanent form of birth control, it is possible to reconnect the tubes that are severed in the procedure. The success rate of reversing a vasectomy is generally between 40 and 50 percent, according to the Houston Fertility Institute. However, The institute’s website also notes that men who have had vasectomies may also be able to have children by extracting sperm to be used in in-vitro fertilization.

CSN Philly – Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Center, Hextall will replace Paul Holmgren as Flyers general manager while Holmgren moves to team president.
The title of team president formerly belonged to Peter Luukko, who resigned last December.
It was Holmgren who brought Hextall back into the organization last summer as assistant general manager and director of hockey operations.
“Paul brought in Hextall,” Snider said last week at breakup day. “That’s why he was brought in [to become GM]. He didn’t come in to stay assistant GM forever, but that doesn’t mean tomorrow. But I’ve gotta sit down with Paul.
“I expect our operation to be solid, good hockey men. We have a lot of people that are analyzing this entire situation.”

Hopefully they let Hextall do his thing. He was a good scout for the Flyers before going to the LA Kings as Assistant GM in 2006. In that role he won the Cup in 2011-12 before returning to the Flyers last summer. I have faith in him to do the right moves.
Start by getting rid of players that don’t have it. Kimmo Timonen is older than dirt and plays like it. Braydon Coburn is a clown on skates. Every time someone supports Coburn they say he takes up ice time. What the fuck skill is that? The guy is great at exercising, sucks at hockey.
And finally get rid of Shartnell. You can put anyone on the first line with Giroux and Voracek and they would have the same numbers as the Shart. He’s a streaky player that disappears when the team needs scoring. I know you need a goon-kind of player to protect G and Jake, but holy crap Errol from True Detective could do his job.
Watching him play pisses me off but I respect the fact he bangs Sheena Parveen.
ESPN – The Nashville Predators hired Peter Laviolette as their new head coach Tuesday.
Laviolette spent parts of the last five seasons as the coach of the Philadelphia Flyers, who fired him just three games into this season.
A Stanley-Cup winning coach with the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006, Laviolette will replace Barry Trotz, who parted ways with the Predators last month after serving as the only head coach in franchise history.
Good for Lavy. Thought firing him three games into the season was harsh but the Flyers weren’t playing for him and his message/methods got stale. Craig Berube steps in and lights a flamethrower under their asses to save the season.
Looks like a win for both sides – Flyers got a new leader that found success in his first season and Lavy got another chance as a head coach.
